About Us

I'm a mother, entrepreneur, product specialist and advocate. I opened The Sensory Kids® Store in 2011, after a 20+ year career in Marketing, Graphic Design and as a Specialty Retail Store Owner.

The Sensory Kids® Store was born out of a desire to help parents of kids with developmental differences, and the educators, caregivers and medical professionals who support them, easily find what they need. We offer something for everyone because, while we know that individual needs may vary, everyone benefits from a healthy sensory diet!

As a parent of children with a myriad of challenges, I know how hard it can be to find the things you need. After years of scouring endless catalogs, medical & industrial websites; and ultimately relying heavily on our therapists, doctors, and educators to assist us in finding all of the products we required to support the unique needs of each of our children—I resolved to change the experience for fellow parents struggling with the same issues. Frankly, it's tough enough having a child with extra needs, why should it be hard to shop as well?

The Sensory Kids® Store is dedicated to Fulfilling Special Needs™, Simply.

We know there are millions of redundant products on the market, we just don't think you should you have to wade through them all to find, "the best." That's why we've done the legwork for you.

After moving from downtown Chicago to the Northern Suburbs, the store changed to meet the needs of a broader audience: Now our comprehensive, yet carefully chosen stock of developmental, therapeutic and sensory toys, tools, furniture, equipment, aids and sensory clothing is globally accessible through our online store and by appointment in our suburban showroom, in-homes, clinics, schools, medical and community institutions.

Sensory Kids®, LLC also provides Global Sensory Solutions™ assisting schools, clinics, and medical institutions worldwide in the implementation of successful sensory strategies. We specialize in bringing our expertise and products to communities in need. We offer consulting, training, planning, and product procurement services to create the perfect sensory environment for your school, clinic or community.

We're proud to be mom owned and run!
